Recruitment Process
Welcome to emgprd.org – Volunteer Recruitment Process!
Experience has shown that traditional personal interviews make it quite challenging for us to recruit volunteer helpers. For this reason, we have introduced a new, transparent recruitment process!
How to Become a Volunteer
Follow our step-by-step process to join our team as an active volunteer:
-
Apply Easily: Submit your application via
volunteering.emgprd.org/jobs or via Idealist.
Apply via Idealist - Document Review: We review your submitted documents to evaluate your profile and skills.
-
Sign Your Volunteer Agreement: You sign your agreement to confirm your intent to volunteer.
Important: Your signature confirms your intent to volunteer with emgprd.org. However, the agreement only becomes fully valid once our leadership countersigns — which happens after you demonstrate your engagement in the next step.
-
Access Leantime & Slack (#show-your-engagement): Once signed, you get immediate access to Leantime, our task management platform. Joining our Slack community is mandatory:
👉 Join Slack WorkspaceYour first stop in Leantime is the #show-your-engagement channel, where you will find an intro video and your first tasks. Complete them well, and our leadership team will evaluate your performance and countersign your agreement — officially welcoming you as a Community Member.
-
Full Onboarding & Workspace Setup: With your fully signed agreement in place, you receive your official Google Workspace account with your personal email address:
firstname.lastname@communitymember.emgprd.org - Task Execution & Documentation: You are assigned specific tasks for your department, which you work on, document, and track directly inside our software.
- Weekly Coffee Talk: Once a week, we hold a 30-to-60-minute "Coffee Talk" to get to know each other, share updates, and connect as a team!
